General Information

* All rodeos begin at 10:00 am.
* NHSRA dress code is required.
* Each member has a folder that will be at every rodeo. The crate with all folders will be placed on the
picnic table near the secretary’s office.  Be sure to check your folder at every rodeo – this is where we will
leave important information for you!   All required correspondence as well as entry forms and fees can be
left here for the secretary as well.

Membership Forms and Dues

* Membership forms must be signed and filled out completely. Both parents must sign the front and back of
the membership form and it must be notarized. (A notary will be available at the rodeo.)  Without the
appropriate signatures, your membership form will not be accepted and you will not be allowed to
compete.
* If at all possible, please mail your membership form and dues in prior to the first rodeo you enter.  If you
copy a membership form for someone, it can only be on one piece of paper – front and back.
* You must include a copy of your birth certificate and last year’s (fully completed) transcript or report
card.
* If you are a new out of state transfer contestant, you are required to complete an out of state transfer
form.
BOTH States’ National Directors must approve it.  Please call if you want to transfer and we can help you
get this taken care of.

Entries

* Entry forms and payment may be left in your folder for any or all future rodeos.   Payment must be made
by the postmark deadline (two weeks prior to the rodeo) or accompany the form.  Unless you pay your fees
on time, you will have to pay the $25 late fee.

account the week following the rodeo.  All memberships and fess for rodeo #1 will be deposited prior to the
first rodeo.  All other fees will be deposited after the rodeo they are received at.  This means that rodeo
entries paid in advance will be deposited when they are paid.
* Rodeo entries can be mailed to Debby Roberts, Region Secretary, PO Box 158 Wills Point, TX 75169.
The call in number is 972-742-6405.
* Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the Monday two weeks prior to the rodeo to avoid the late fee.

the rodeo.  Entries will close for the rodeo on Tuesday morning.  You must be pre-entered to compete at
the rodeo.  No walk-up entries will be accepted.

Therefore, points will be accumulated for 4 rodeos at each cutting rodeo, giving each cutter the required
12 rodeos by the end of the season.  You will need to complete 4 separate entry forms when entering
cutting rodeos but may continue to write one check.  If you have questions, feel free to call.

listed rodeos. The order of events will be:  Bareback, Bulls and Saddle Bronc. *This assumes there are an
adequate number of pole benders in order to give the rough stock riders an adequate break between go
rounds.

Payout

* Beginning this season, Region IV will only have one secretary.  Due to this reduction in personnel, our
commitment is that checks will be mailed no later than the Wednesday following the rodeo.  If you prefer,
you can have the secretary hold your check(s) in your folder to pick up at the next rodeo.  If time allows,
checks may be available as early as the end of the rodeo.

Awards

* ALL contestants must enter 6 out of 10 regular season rodeos to be eligible for year-end prizes.
* Actual awards and number of places receiving awards will be determined by the board at a later date and
be based upon the number of entries in each event.

Gate Fee

* There will be a $10.00 gate fee on each entry. If you have two children you will pay $10.00 on the first
entry and $5.00 on the second entry. If you have three or more children you will pay $10.00 on the first
entry, $5.00 on the second entry and $0 on the other entries.

Bonus Fund

* $4.00 of each contestant’s entry fee for each event will go toward the Finals Bonus Fund to be paid out
as added money at the Region Finals in April.  The amount of the fund for each event will be kept
separately and does not accumulate with other events.  Only contestants competing in that event will
contribute to the bonus fund for that event.

I know this is a lot of information.  If you have any questions, please give me a call.  We
